For the past few years, I had been constantly returning to this pub simply because I just love the feel of it. I had come here to celebrate birthdays, friend’s graduation, dinner with my friends, destressing from university affairs and the list is endless. Yes, clearly I had visited here a whole bunch of times and I miscounted but the point is that no matter what Lennox Pub remains close and dear to my heart.
Upon opening the heavy door that has that been here since 2000 that offers over 18 different kinds of beer on tap along with their delicious traditional Irish pub fare that compliments the beer of your choice. Along with that, the inside decor provides me with a feeling that I had traveled to Ireland by entering the door. It contains a traditional wood finished tables with European chairs and bar stools positioned for your sports watching leisure with either a friend or by yourself. Also, the lighting is just right because it’s not too dark and not too bright as it is meant to provide that UK pub kind of feel which makes it feel that I am in a scene from a British crime film but then again that could just be me but I like it.
The food here is top notch that provides a good variety of starters, soups and salads, burgers and sandwiches, mains, steak, desserts and of course no pub is complete without their traditional pub fares. I am usually a man that goes for the Hoegaarden Fish & Chips along with the Big Boy Hoegaarden Beer but since I just walked out of an exam and a very heavy project week. I went for my standard Guinness Dark Stout and Butter Chicken because I simply love how they both compliment each other in my personal opinion. The butter chicken, I just gotta warn you is the British version which means that it is not the same as the South Asian counterpart which you would usually find in India or Indian restaurants nearby but hey I am not complaining because personally I love their butter chicken and it was even the cute server that served me finds it to be her personal choice here at Lennox. Cheers to a fine pint of Guinness and a fine night I said to her and my god was she cheery and friendly in fact, all the servers here are like that. Every time I come here I am always welcomed with a positive attitude and are ready to serve you for your night at the Irish Pub.
Overall, if you need to find a place to relax and hangout or even by yourself after a concert or after attending a big game this is the place to be. Sixteen years of tradition and counting along with creating fine memories with friends, family, loved ones or by yourself grab a Hoegaarden, Guinness or whatever your favorite beer is and sit back, relax and have a good night on Granville Street.
